The Keyless Digital Deadlatch Upgrade Kit makes it easier to upgrade from the old to the new. You may convert your mechanical Lockwood 001 or 002 or Whitco W75 series deadlatch to a digital lock in minutes. Simply remove your external mechanical faceplate and replace it with the Digital deadlatch to instal the lock.
By upgrading to the Digital Deadlatch, owners can gain entrance to their property using a PIN number rather than carrying their keys. Users can add up to 20 user PIN codes and 20 key tags/cards, allowing family members, cleaners, or visitors to share access. PIN Codes can also be timed for up to 24 hours, allowing guests to open the lock within that time frame.
The Yale Digital Deadlatch is powered by four AA alkaline batteries and alerts users when the batteries are running low. The lock also includes a 9V battery backup to ensure that you never lose power.
There is no mechanical lockset provided.
